Experienced Handlers
Flitch handling is managed by Paul Hook BSc physiotherapy. Paul’s approach to manual handling focuses on both the individual(s) looking after the client and the clients themselves.
Flexible Location
Training can be provided at your venue of choice, which could be in-house or at a local training venue. We also offer half-day or full day courses.
Virtual Material
We are able to supply an overhead projector or flash drive and course materials and small handling equipment.
Certification
We provide handouts and certificates of attendance for all delegates.
Educate
All our courses provide sufficient theory to enable staff to understand the importance of back care, and the legal requirements to protect staff, clients and employer in safer manual handling.
Put into Practice
At least half the session will be dedicated to practical work.

About the trainer
Paul qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 2013
He completed a Train the Trainer in Safer Handling of People in 2021 and is a member of the National Back Exchange.
About the course
Anatomy
Having a general understanding of anatomy can help limit the risk of injury whilst carrying out manual handling tasks.
Legislation
There are a number of policies and legislation that underpin the safer moving and handling of clients. A part of our course will give its attendees a deeper understanding of both theirs and the employers responsibilities.
